I’m new to fruit pies and I’m sort of a lazy baker (won’t catch me on Great British Baking Show). I used canned peaches and had a slightly soggy bottom (which I THINK I prefer, but I could be wrong). Seriously, this was so amazing. I made the buttery crust and the crumble topping. I’ve made it twice in as many weeks. We just devour this thing. Perfect summer sweet. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

This was by far the best peach pie that I’ve ever had!!! The recipe is easy and when I put it into the oven I thought that it didn’t look special. But let me tell you, it was amazing! I did bake it a little longer than the recommended time because the crumble topping wasn’t browned at all. I watched it closely and took it out after 10 additional minutes. It was a hit with my family!

Hi, just read this tip in another peach pie recipe, toss the peaches with sugar, let stand 30 minutes, drain juice into saucepan and boil to a syrup for 10 min. Add back to peaches. Some people say to add a little butter at the end of the boiling period. Going to try it myself!
